We have set up a forum solution for internal discussions in the project. The solution is only in English, so the language selector disappears in the menu once you have entered the forums. So far, three forums have been started (logged-in participants get there via the headings):
Forum for systematics
- systematics theory in general
- the relationship between taxonomy for wild organisms and cultonomy for domesticated ones
- the cultonomy promoted by Wilbert Hetterscheid and Ronald van den Berg
- the choices the Culton project is based on when it comes to systematics
- other topics the participants want to address
The idea is that the general discussions conserning cultonomy is discussed here in this forum. A cultonomic interest group at TDWG project will also be set up, mostly for discussions and development of the database structure of the project.
Forum for the name moderation group
- eligibility criteria for team members
- methods and principles for monitoring Culton records
- other topics the participants want to address
We are planning a teamwork section for what will become the project’s operational website: Culton.info. The core of this will be a portal where moderators see lists of name suggestions from the public to be judged as accepted/synonymous/rejected based on the criteria the project develops.
Forum for organisational development
- purpose, goals, tasks and how they are reflected in statutes and other documents
- how to develop the board: member proposals etc
- organisational development in general
- partnerships, legal cooperation documents etc
- other topics the participants want to address
